Biotensegrity for Yoga Teachers
Course Description
Biotensegrity, a concept introduced by Dr. Stephen Levin, applies tensegrity principles to the body’s structure, highlighting how muscles, bones, and connective tissues work in harmony. Instead of seeing the body as separate parts, biotensegrity views it as a unified system, with the musculoskeletal system maintaining tension and bones offering support.
For yoga teachers, understanding biotensegrity fosters more accurate, gentle, and mindful cueing. It encourages an inside-out approach, where awareness of the body’s connective web leads to interoceptive practice and teaching.
Join us for a 25-hour training to explore pedagogy, anatomy and a new way to perceive movement, through creativity, games, and hands-on learning.
